"kaam, krodh, abhimaan, aalas lachari" (Lust, anger, pride, unrighteousness and helplessness)
Direct all these emotions towards divine!

Religion is mankind's best companion. Better than the Big science world we are building. In our realms of insecurity there is a limit to the comfort science can provide. Religion extends to infinity- to the infinite and selfless compassion, to the state of being with the One!
In our greatest of celebrations, from feasts to crazy other feats, science stands with us. But in sheer moments of utmost bliss, the utmost selfish and absolutely unshare-able bliss it is those strands of faith, beliefs (religion - no religion) which hold us in our reverberating joy.
And then we have lesser emotions of anger, frustration, pride, little fears and shocks and stuff we do not remember by the end of the day. In the vortex of these less intense and more frequent emotions we pull people around us in. We do not talk science or religion then. We get angry at things, people. We are jealous of each other. We burn in lust and forget it. We have frustration, humor, small gestures - stuff we keep the big boss Religion or the good buddy Science out of.
Now, here is an amazing idea/hypothesis. Not mine.
Try directing your lesser emotions towards divinity or science aka state of knowing as I put it. It will be interesting to learn how others feel about not pulling people around them into the shadows of the lesser emotions.
I am going to start trying right away. More in hope that this practice will not hurt people in the way expression of my negative passing by emotions do.
And there is a pacifying factor in directing our pleasant, not so pleasant but certainly hijacking emotions to some Big thing we believe in - be it Science or Religion - two broad terms as most people understand.
There is purity even in the lust one can feel/imagine for the divinity or knowledge (Science) - whatever you hold as truth.
There is contentment of keeping ourselves so successfully within ourselves instead of - foolen naa samaana. :)
